- Collaborate with chemists to troubleshoot reactions and recommend analytical strategies.
- Develop and optimize analytical and preparative HPLC methods.
- Manage Waters and Agilent analytical platforms, including qualification, preventive maintenance and first-line troubleshooting.
- Coordinate outsourced analytical services including NMR, GC, HRMS and specialized characterization.
- Develop, qualify and validate analytical methods where appropriate.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, data integrity and laboratory quality systems.
- Support customer projects through analytical reports, discussions and technical problem-solving.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related discipline.
- M.Pharm (Analysis) or equivalent analytical specialization may also be considered.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, CDMO or drug discovery organizations.
Technical Expertise
Strong working knowledge of Analytical HPLC, Preparative HPLC, LCMS, mass spectral interpretation, chromatographic method development, purification strategies, Waters and Agilent platforms, method qualification and validation, GDP, GLP awareness and outsourced analytical coordination.
A sound understanding of organic reaction mechanisms and synthetic chemistry is essential.
